None. It is not worth going to NICU or PICU. It is a disaster and a disgrace of a place to set foot in. Detroit Families deserve better.

NICU travel you don't get access to anything including glucose meter. You are floated without training to units you have never been on even ICU floors. You are told one thing and then no-one cares. Charge RNs do not care what your contract states wiling to toss you out rather than uphold a contract. NICU management abusive. NICU RNs are toxic and so not help you. You don’t get access to med room and can never do your job. Have to rely on other RNs as you don't get access and they treat you like dirt when you ask for help with obtaining meds. Ended up having to teach new RNs how to do things they didn't know how to do. Floated to unit where I had ever had never been no received any training. Did not even get a tour and knew where nothing was. It was completely different than unit trained on. Still no access to med room or even to get children's formula. RNs were again rude and dis not want to help. Abuse in the workplace by other RNs. Have power chart and its the worst version of cerner. You dont get phone numbers to anyone so you cannot call for help and cannot call resp. Therapy and cannot call providers. The phone system is hard to use. They do not show you how to use it. Nothing is on it. You must click through 17 items just to find a number and then that person never answeres. You get random calls as people who answer calls from parents dont care and dont want to deal with it so they just transfer them to any random number not even a RN on the unit of the same child. No safety for pt information over the phone either. Nothing is ever stocked or available. They reuse items that have already been in children's body and should be one time use. Without washing or sterilizing. RNs dont care when something safety issue comes up with families. providers dont care. RNs dont know what to do. RNs dont clean anything including their work space. They dont give you access to lunch room or anywhere to take a break. Nor do any RNs that you work woth allow you to accomidate a break so you can not leave the unit. House supervisor doesnot care. Hand off was not safe as RN did not know what to do with these patents and never trained on resp support or the ICU status of these children or ever had experience in a PICU setting before and when brought up to charge and house supervisor they did not care. It is Not worth your license to go here
