Freedom healthcare is a good company to work with . In Maine they provided housing , transport . Eastern Maine  medical center was not so bad , the ratios were manageable , the staff on the unit I worked were mostly travelers, it was a mix of his and bad but overall not a bad place to work.i however heard that the medsurge floors were horrible , they didn’t treat travelers well .

I actually enjoyed working at EMMC. G6 is full of teamwork and ppl willing to help you so you dont feel alone or lost especially as a traveler. Management very much micromanages you to the nth degree, lol, but if you can get past that you’ll like the environment. The ratio for day shift M/S was 4:1 sometimes you may get 5, but if you’re overwhelmed they have Resource Nurses willing to assist. I’d never heard of a resource nurse, so it was definitely shocking in a good way, lol. I’ve learned alot and I’ve learned different ways of using Cerner. You wont be too disappointed if you take an assignment here.

Worked nights, mgrs can be picky, pay was great, floor that was onc apparently was marketed as MS/Onc and when nurses and aides got there were that it was mostly psych/ms and everything other than onc. Heard from other travels that mgmt could be mean

Cardiac Stepdown

As an RT you have some autonomy but not full autonomy. RTs can intubate there. The hospital seems to be run mostly by PAs, some are great, while others are overly confident in their abilities while not heeding recommendations. The RT department there was great and full of knowledgeable RTs from top to bottom, always would check on you, and treated you like one of their own. There wasnt any official OT to pick up and were all on call shifts if you wanted a chance at OT.

This is not a place to send new travelers,  even with experience I found it a hostel environment

This facility may be okay on other floors but on Grant 6, it’s terrible (all of the other floors know about grant 6 and floaters dread coming)! Management doesn’t not work with you/ care about your well being. My coworkers were the most enjoyable part. Aside from that this floor is run terribly and there is turn over for a reason your license is on the line everyday!
