The histology lab at Einstein is small but it’s more of a family setting, everyone works good together and they help each other out. The lab actually puts patient care FIRST even though they don’t work directly with patients. The pathologist and the manager Mariano are very cool and you can actually learn a lot from them. But keep your personal business to yourself hence small lab. But overall I would go back for another  assignment.

Management on their acute psych unit ; I’m surprised she’s still there. She literally creates new jobs for favored employees and buys them gifts like sneakers and shoes expensive scrubs!  I hear from people still there it has only gotten worse.  Can be easily confirmed sometimes with a “no comment” from current staff.

Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:
• 3-5+ years of experience required 
• PA or compact license required at time of submission 
• BLS and ACLS certifications required 
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for all types of CVOR cases 
• Level I Trauma experience required 
• Charge nurse experience preferred 
• Floating required as needed to general OR 
• Weekend and weekday call required: Monday-Friday 3:30 PM-7:00 AM and weekends 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, or 7:00 AM-7:00 AM 
• On call is based on department need, typically 1 weekend per month and 1 day per week 
• Weekends are Saturday/Sunday 
• Patient ratio: 1:1 
• Work with adult patient population 
• 40 hours of orientation required 
• Charting system: Cerner (Surginet) 
• Scrubs are provided 
• Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing 
• PA Fingerprints required and may require travel time
