Co workers are a hit or miss. Either they work well as a team or they don’t. But I will say because of the nurse to patient ratio in all the departments being so high, that highly encourage lack of teamwork in that aspect. The company itself don’t care about patients, patient care, or their employees. Their Only concern and interest is making profit and pocketing as much money as they possibly can.

Pros
Pay is decent. You save money because there is absolutely nothing to do in this town. Close to Mexico border. Casino is great if you are a gambler. There are a few nice staff. Great if you speak Spanish
Cons
Too much call. You don’t get a say on what call you want. The director gives it to you without any regard as to what you have going on in your life. Director is not friendly They hire Scrub Techs off the street, that no nothing about sterility. ORT are expected to be a FA, Material Management, Take Endo call, even though there is a tech for Endo, and the Endo Tech doesn’t take call. When on call you have to wash your own instruments even though there is SPD on call as well… They blame the ORT for everything negative that happens. The Circulators expect the ORT to bring in all equipment, pull the case, set up the room, and set up the table. You are sent home most of the time when the case load is low… The morale is low due to management. There is favoritism over others. The staff treat you as if you’re their enemy and not there to help them as travelers. In the beginning they are super nice but once you question how things are run, they are rude and do things on purpose to get to a person. If one person can’t take your call they throw the call on you unexpectedly. The OR rooms temperatures are ridiculously hot… It was 73 degrees in the rooms when I first started.
