Cardiac Cath Lab

Medium sized community hospital.  Difficult to reach your MD’s.  Cerner charting (changing to Epic in 2025).  Position was ICU, but floated elsewhere 90% of my shifts.  Good RN’s though, friendly and leadership is decent in most areas.

Management is not well received by their own staff and for the time I worked there as a traveler I would say they were not the friendliest. The staff were polite to us traveled though

Working several months in this ICU through TRA. TRA, although a part of Tenet, was the most disorganized and worst paying compared to any other agency you could work for at this hospital. My paychecks were deceiving, I was never paid on time, and the hospital/agency required me to jump hoops to get paid. My checks were never clear on how many hours and when they were for, I’m actually pretty sure they did this deliberately because they were skimming off my checks. 

The hospital is also very disorganized, it was very difficult to get a hold of any doctor or know who was on coverage because there was no system in place in to find out. ICU practices were unsafe and breaks rarely given.

TRA/Tenet and Fountain Valley ICU

The staff there was mostly travelers.  It was very disorganized.  Permanent staff seemed to do very little to make it better.  Their attitudes and lack of desire to improve was hard to work with.

Hard place to work

This place is a terrible facility. Unsafe and dangerous for patients. Not enough aids to help and often you will have five total care patients with no help. Your nursing license is put at risk every day
