Great manager who really worked with me and my schedule after I had a death in the family. There wasn't any OT for travelers, standard contract pay, which at that time was starting to go down everywhere. Good crew of nurses that I do miss. They were experimenting with tele-nurses in a few rooms, just FYI. Ratios were 5:1 always, but they were just starting to add a 6th patient near the end of the contract. The medsurg floor truly was post surgery. Rare to get the very complicated patient. Also, they do have 2 rooms set up to take prisoners. Guards always come with, and since I've always worked large hospitals, this was nothing new to me.
