Facility is not set up well at all. All the item u need are on one end, so you have to walk a lot. You may meet the manager, but I didn't for the first 6 months. Night shift has had a huge turnover. Nobody is held accountable for anything.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Nov 30, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 2</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Obstetrics (OB) LDRP unit, requiring 2+ years of L&amp;D experience and an active IN or compact RN license.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the Family Birth Center, an LDRP unit with Level II Special Care Nursery</li><li>Unit has 12 LDRP beds, 2 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery</li><li>Cares for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients per Level II OB and NICU Indiana Perinatal standards</li><li>Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing recommendations: 1:1 for active labor and 3-4 couplets for postpartum</li><li>Uses Philips Fetal Monitors, CADD epidural pumps, HUGS infant security, Vocera, Natus Hearing Screen Machine, Transcutaneous Bilimeter (Drager), Panda Radiant Warmers, AccuStat, and Pyxis</li><li>EMR system: OBIX/Epic-STORK/Optime</li><li>Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, Sunday-Thursday, 7pm-7:30am</li><li>Weekend shift requirement: two weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday) every 6 weeks</li><li>On-call requirements: one weeknight call shift every two weeks and two weekend call shifts every 6 weeks, with a response time of one hour or less</li><li>May float as a Helping Hand or patient care tech to Med/Surg, Ortho, ICU, or ER depending on census</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor &amp; Delivery</li><li>Required certifications per onboarding list (e.g., BLS, NRP, AWHONN)</li><li>Skilled in labor and delivery management, including cervical checks (vaginal exams), patient triage, and circulating for C-sections and D&amp;Cs</li><li>Preferred experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery care</li><li>Scrub/assist or NICU skills are a plus</li><li>No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Responsibilities include direct patient care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages</li><li>Team environment values friendly, supportive, and collaborative communicators who are strong critical thinkers</li><li>Scrubs are supplied by the department; staff must maintain a dedicated pair of work shoes and follow surgical scrub wear guidelines</li><li>Unit is secured and requires badge access</li><li>Must be available to work 3 of the following holiday shifts: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's night</li><li>Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced bill rate</li></ul>
