The night shift staff is awesome! However the over night Drs create a lot of challenges with some letting patients wait for way longer then they should. Busy especially for their small size

I know to expect the worst as an agency nurse but, there is no permanent staff at this place to even help travelers familiarize themselves with the unit. The unit also does not follow safety protocols and most national recommend guidelines.

Staff is nice but the politics are horrendous

      <p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for day shifts, requiring a NJ or compact RN license and BLS certification.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a hospital Operating Room setting</li><li>Handles a wide range of surgical procedures including bariatrics, vascular, neuro, ortho, robotics, general, eye, and urology</li><li>Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred but not required</li><li>Day shifts are 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM</li><li>Scrubs are provided by the facility</li><li>First-time travelers are accepted for this position</li><li>No travel pairs or groups allowed</li><li>Up to 3 days of requested time off may be approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation</li><li>Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are recorded via transcripts</li><li>Return-to-work eligibility is restricted for recent former staff</li><li>Orientation covers facility operations and required processes</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration</li><li>Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred</li><li>Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required</li><li>Must demonstrate experience with general and specialized OR procedures as listed</li><li>Experience with Epic documentation preferred</li><li>Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility</li><li>Former perm staff must have at least 1 year since previous employment at the facility</li></ul>
