Only dislike was the parking department and hassle and expense of parking

Understaffed and over capacity when I was there. 4-5 patients day, 5 at night and charge taking 4-5. Not enough CNAs. Also had 1-3 patients in the hallway with curtain around them. Resources/help during day but not at night. Generally unfriendly/hostile staff. Unit manager was friendly/helpful at times. “Difficult” patient population (not to me but to some people- is the county hospital so a lot of drugs/etoh/homeless/prison/behavioral/mentyhealth)

      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is hiring a Dual IR and Cath Lab RN with at least two years of ICU or ED experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab units of a Level I trauma teaching hospital</li><li>Care for patients requiring urgent or emergent interventional procedures such as Code Stroke, STEMI, trauma, and IR body cases</li><li>Shift schedule is four 10-hour day shifts (7:00 am–5:30 pm) with on-call, holiday, and weekend requirements</li><li>Required to work every third weekend, subject to change based on department needs</li><li>Float between Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab units within scope of practice</li><li>Epic EMR experience is preferred</li><li>Respond to and assist with urgent and emergent interventional procedures</li><li>Recover patients from sedation or anesthesia post-procedures</li><li>Solid color scrubs required; light blue scrubs provided on unit</li><li>Prior staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler</li><li>RTO (time off) may not be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum</li><li>Local candidates are accepted at the same rates</li></ul>

      <ul><li>Active WA or Compact RN license required; pending license is not accepted</li><li>Minimum two years of recent ICU or ED experience required</li><li>Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required</li><li>First-time travelers accepted if all requirements are met</li><li>Magnet hospital and trauma center experience preferred</li><li>COVID vaccination and booster required without exception</li></ul>
