Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice while maintaining a safe and sterile surgical environment. The Registered Nurse works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team to coordinate patient care and respond quickly to changes in the patient’s condition. Responsibilities include circulating duties, patient positioning, maintaining accurate documentation and surgical counts, and supporting infection prevention and safety standards.
