Great if you don’t have a soul
This place pays well but for a reason. I have never worked anywhere so mean in my entire life. They truly hate their patients and have no respect for human life. I went home feeling like a failure every day for doing what I was told instead of caring for patients the best way I knew how. They lock patients up in admissions for up to 12 hours and feed them what they call “choke sandwiches”, and nothing else. Hot food is considered a luxury and patients are herded around like cattle. We violate HIPAA every day and assess patients in the waiting room in front of other people. We make families wait for hours and do not have a full medical facility in case of emergency. Everything is about profit and we have no protection for staff. An APRN was walking by a patient room and he suddenly came out and punched her in the face, breaking her nose. All my coworkers said “that’s what you sign up for with this job”; zero empathy for patients or coworkers. High turnover rate despite high pay. Truly evil management.
