      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Family Birthing Center (Labor &amp; Delivery) night shift position in Salida, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience and an active CO or compact RN license.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work setting is a Family Birthing Center (FBC) within a hospital environment</li><li>Patient population includes labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) patients, including neonates and mother/baby couplets</li><li>Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 36 hours per week</li><li>Weekend availability is required</li><li>Holiday coverage may be required</li><li>13-week contract</li><li>Directly monitors and supports patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, including breastfeeding assistance and newborn care education</li><li>Collaborates with nursery nurses in the care of mother/baby couplets and assists physicians with procedures</li><li>Documents all patient events and education in the electronic medical record</li><li>Communicates patient condition verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors</li><li>May assist staff with emergencies in other nursing units as needed</li><li>This is a Rapid Response/Crisis position</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active CO RN license or compact RN license accepted</li><li>Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required</li><li>Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited program required</li><li>Required certifications: BLS and ACLS</li><li>Preferred certifications: PALS and NRP</li><li>Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs</li><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch</li><li>Close, color, and peripheral vision required for patient care and monitoring</li></ul>
