The staff are great; super friendly and willing/able to help. Their techs have great ratios so you aren’t ever your patient’s primary, but you can have 5 patients on the stepdown unit. They aren’t TRUE stepdown patients a lot of the time (they don’t do a ton of drips, no art lines or prededex), but they stick their higher acuity patients in PCU, which can be frustrating because the medsurg nurses also have 5 that aren’t as sick or busy. I get floated a lot, but have almost always had a fair assignment and enough resources when off my home unit
