<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 4x10hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: May 18, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a position requiring on-call availability, EP lab rotation, and an active KY or compact license.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work setting is a hospital-based cardiac cath lab with 2 dedicated cath lab rooms plus rotation in the EP lab</li><li>Adult and geriatric patient population</li><li>8–10 procedures performed per day, averaging 6–8 STEMI cases per month</li><li>1:1 patient ratio</li><li>Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases using radial and groin access, device implants (pacemakers and ICDs — single, dual, Bi-V), peripheral diagnostics and interventions, EP ablations, and use of Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST contrast injector</li><li>Rotating schedule of 84 hours per two-week period (one week 3x12, one week 4x12), Monday–Friday with one rotating weekday off each week</li><li>Shifts run 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM</li><li>On-call requirement of 8–15 days per month, with one weeknight per week (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and one weekend every 3 weeks (Friday 5:30 PM through Sunday 7:00 AM)</li><li>Must be able to respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts</li><li>Float required within clinical scope per facility policy</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required</li><li>Active AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required</li><li>ARRT certification required</li><li>Active KY state license or compact license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable; candidates willing to apply for KY licensure upon offer will be considered, but must apply the day they accept</li><li>Must reside 75+ miles from the facility — no local candidates will be considered</li><li>A valid driver's license with an address matching your permanent address is required</li><li>2 professional references required: 1 charge nurse or higher and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year</li><li>EP experience preferred</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Responsibilities include table panning, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases, device implant assistance, and circulating EP procedures; cross-training in EP ablations is available for those without prior EP experience</li><li>Call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Radiological Technologist</li><li>Scrubs and lead apron are provided</li><li>Orientation is held bi-weekly</li><li>Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be declared upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission</li><li>Travelers must work at least one major or minor holiday during the contract</li><li>Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return</li><li>COVID-19 vaccination is required; medical and religious exemptions are available</li></ul>
