<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jul 20, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3>American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Iowa, working full-time night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays on a 13-week contract.<h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Adult Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting</li><li>Full-time night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM</li><li>Rotating weekends and holidays required</li><li>13-week contract</li><li>36 hours per week</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active Iowa RN license or compact license currently in hand</li><li>Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required</li><li>Graduate of an accredited nursing program</li><li>Prior Med/Surg experience preferred but not required</li><li>Two recent employment references required for consideration</li><li>DOB and SSN may be required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Responsible for total patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs</li><li>Responsibilities include patient and family teaching and directing ancillary personnel</li><li>Required immunizations include: MMR (2 doses or positive titers), Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines), Polio, Hepatitis B series/titer or signed declination, TDaP (within 10 years), and Flu vaccine (required Oct 1 – Mar 31)</li><li>TB testing required: negative 2-step Mantoux within 1 year of start, or QuantiFERON Gold; if positive, proof of positive result and chest X-ray required</li><li>Physical exam within 1 year of start date required</li><li>10-panel drug screen within 1 month of start date required</li><li>Respiratory fit test within 1 year of start date required (facility can provide if unavailable)</li><li>Criminal background check required for all states where the candidate holds a license or has lived/worked in the past 7 years (within 30 days of start)</li><li>Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse &amp; Dependent Adult Abuse) required prior to start; can be completed through facility-provided CareLearning modules if not already certified</li><li>All compliance documents must be submitted no later than 5 business days prior to the contract start date</li></ul>
