This was a nice ER to work in. Patients have fairly low acuity. Ratios were always 1:4. Staff are very friendly towards good travel nurses. You get a 45 minute break on nights and there are break relief nurses. ED techs are helpful as well as CPCA’s. The only downfall was staffing. They didn’t abide by the contract and you would get booked for 2 shifts one week and then 4 shifts the following week when your contract is clearly for 36 hours/week. Also as a traveler you’d be scheduled for every single weekend. No block shifts so I was all over the place and never felt rested. I’d go back if scheduling was better.
