<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Apr 20, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (M) certification for a 13-week outpatient assignment.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Outpatient mammography setting</li><li>Procedures include 3D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, screening mammograms, and stereotactic biopsy</li><li>Hologic 3D equipment is used</li><li>5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist</li><li>ARRT (M) and BLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of consideration</li><li>License required if applicable — a Compact or NC license must be in hand</li><li>Full SSN and DOB required for consideration</li><li>1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration</li><li>Proficiency with digital quality assurance procedures, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and universal precautions</li><li>Community hospital experience preferred</li><li>Flu vaccine required; no exemptions or declinations accepted</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>First-time travelers will be considered for this position</li><li>Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate</li><li>Orientations are held bi-weekly</li><li>Wine-colored scrubs are required</li><li>RTO requests must be submitted upfront and are capped at 5–7 days maximum</li><li>Candidates who were previously permanent employees of Duke University Health System must disclose that employment history; candidates who left permanent employment there within the past 6 months are not eligible</li><li>Charge experience and management/lead experience are preferred</li><li>Teaching BSE (breast self-exams) to patients is a preferred skill</li></ul>
