MacNeal Hospital's Acute Rehab is composed of a 12 acute rehab unit. Our patient population includes patients ages 18 an older, majority aged 60+ with variety of conditions include, but not limited to, stroke, mild brain injury, neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, medical-surgical conditions, pulmonary conditions and cardiac conditions. The average length of stay for our patients is 2-3 weeks, offering the opportunity to connect and build relationships with patients on their road to recovery.

MacNeal Hospital's Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center with two dedicated trauma resuscitation rooms in our 26-bed Emergency Department. We are Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP). We support an acuity-based staffing model in our fast-paced environment and provide care to a wide range of patients allowing our RN's to grow and gain valuable experience.
