CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:
• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 
• GE experience absolutely required (deal breaker if not available) 
• Must be IV certified or IV competent for IV insertion procedures 
• Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations including urgent care 
• Must be able to work independently as you will occasionally be alone 
• Perform head CTs for falls and occasional CTAs (no coronal CTA) 
• Calcium scoring on GE scanner is a huge plus 
• Work with brand new GE dual energy scanner 
• Equipment includes GE VCT and Evo/Evolution scanners 
• 3-5 years of CT experience required 
• Massachusetts license and ARRT(CT) certification required 
• Must be graduate of AMA approved educational program in Radiological Technology 
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS 
• Use MEDITECH charting system 
• Follow hospital protocols for exam routines and produce quality studies efficiently 
• Operate CT scanner, pressure injector, PACS units, and other department equipment 
• Adjust and manipulate images to required specifications including windowing and contrast 
• Complete administrative duties including tech editing and patient escort 
• Report wet reading findings to physicians and emergency department as needed

 American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for night shifts with strong GE scanner experience and ARRT(CT) certification required.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work in an acute care setting handling both inpatient and outpatient cases, including urgent care</li><li>Single-floor open hospital unit occasionally managing head CTs for minor trauma or falls</li><li>Patient population consists of a variety of acuity levels; super sick patients are transferred to a main hospital</li><li>Main equipment includes a brand new GE dual energy scanner, GE VCT, and Evo/Evolution units</li><li>Shift schedule is 7pm-8am on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights</li><li>Occasional independent work is required, as technologist may be alone on shift</li><li>Use of MEDITECH EMR and PACS system is essential</li><li>Night shift only</li><li>Perform all standard CT imaging procedures following established protocols and ensure high-quality imaging output</li><li>Insert IVs and manage contrast media as appropriate per case</li><li>Responsible for scanner startup, equipment QA, and running pressure injectors</li><li>Manipulate images with advanced post-processing including windowing, contrast adjustments, reformatting, and separating exams</li><li>Stock, clean, and maintain CT suite and associated equipment as needed</li><li>Report findings to physicians and other clinical teams using both verbal and electronic methods</li><li>Night shift dress code and scrub policy to be provided prior to start</li><li>Local candidates are accepted, but reduced pay will apply if living within 50 miles</li></ul>
