Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:
• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 4/10 schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM 
• On-call requirements: every 4th day and 4th weekend 
• Weekend call requirement: Friday end of shift through Monday 6:30 AM every 3rd or 4th weekend 
• Weeknight call: 1-2 nights per week from end of shift until 6:30 AM 
• Holiday call requirement: 1 major holiday and holiday weekend per year 
• 20-minute call response time required 
• Oregon license required 
• Radiation badge required (facility does not provide) 
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), RT, RCIS or ARRT (CI) or (CV) 
• Primary responsibility is scrubbing all cases tableside with physician 
• May be asked to circulate cases and function as circulator and scrub tech 
• Handle 5-10 cases per day on average across 3 suites/labs 
• Perform groin management and all access site management (groin/radial/drains) 
• Set up sterile tables and scrub coronary angiogram/interventions, STEMI's, peripheral procedures 
• Work with atherectomy devices, Impella and IABP 
• Handle PCI/diagnostic catheterizations, device implants, peripheral/IR cases, IVC filters 
• Work with McKesson/GE equipment and MEDITECH charting system 
• Scrubs supplied by the department 
• Orientation provided by peers and special procedure tech 
• No floating requirements

 American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of acute care cath lab experience and active BLS and Oregon RT or RCIS credentials.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work in a cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure suites in an acute care setting</li><li>Typical caseload includes 5-10 cases per day focusing on PCI, diagnostic catheterizations, device implants, peripheral/IR procedures, and IVC filter placements</li><li>Scrubbing tableside with the physician is the primary role, with additional circulator responsibilities as needed</li><li>Procedures include coronary and peripheral interventions, STEMI, IR cases, device implants, atherectomy, Impella and IABP management</li><li>Must be competent in all access site management such as groin, radial, and drains</li><li>Uses Meditech EMR, MCKesson/GE equipment; cath lab is the site of all IR procedures</li><li>Day shifts are scheduled as four 10-hour days, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm</li><li>On call required every 4th day and every 4th weekend, with a 20-minute response time</li><li>Primary duties include scrubbing all cases tableside, access site management, and assisting with groin/radial access and devices</li><li>No floating required outside the cath lab</li><li>Department supplies scrubs and provides orientation with experienced team members</li><li>Must cover one major holiday and holiday weekend per year if assignment duration overlaps</li><li>All procedures for IR are conducted within the cath lab by IR physicians</li><li>Returning travelers may not have been employed by the CommonSpirit network, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year</li></ul>
