I had positive experiences at every Dignity facility worked. Staff Nurses are helpful and fun to work with. Managers were available and supportive. MDs are responsive and truly care about patients. I know some locations are not great (heard from other travelers), but I loved my assignments in Sacramento CA, Folsom CA, Carmichael CA, Woodland CA, Redwood City CA, Long Beach CA, and Las Vegas NV.

The facility is ok and there are some great people in the OR there, the problem is the OR manager is COMPLETELY untrustworthy.  My first contract she was fine, talkative.  After they asked me to extend her demeanor changed.   A month into extension she stopped talking to or even acknowledging me.  The out of the blue she contacted my company (the hospitals exclusive travel company) and ended mine and another RN’s contact weeks early citing low census. The week before I was leaving new travel RN’ from a different company started work.   During this whole time she, the manager, NEVER SPOKE TO ME.

Don’t trust OR manager

Do not work here in cath lab nor as an NP. There is zero team woke CVT lead and the nurses do everything and cater tot he techs it’s a joke!!! Seriously don’t take a travel assignment here has to cancel mine due to multiple patient safety concerns

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 PM 
• Every other weekend requirement 
• Holiday rotation with core staff 
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 2:1 in 8-bed TICU unit 
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips 
• Experience with ventilators required 
• Report given at bedside 
• Self-scheduling system with manager approval 
• Overtime and extra shifts available 
• First to float to other Sacramento facilities 
• 1-2 day floor-specific orientation with preceptor 
• Care for patients with motor-vehicle crashes, falls, and traumatic brain injuries 
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds on day shift 
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS 
• PALS preferred but not required 
• Trauma experience preferred 
• Navy scrubs required with navy, white, or black undershirts 
• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours of contract signing (80% passing score, 2 attempts allowed) 
• Two supervisory references required at submittal (one within 12 months, one within 3 years) 
• Cannot have been directly employed by CommonSpirit facilities within past year 
• Electronic medical record system: Cerner 
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
