<h2>Job Description</h2>
 American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position with at least 5 years of PACU or outpatient surgical setting experience and a current CA RN license.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a day surgery unit serving both adult and pediatric patients</li><li>Assignment requires coverage of pre-op, PACU, and post-op areas</li><li>Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM</li><li>No on-call or weekend requirements</li><li>Closing shift (9:30 AM to 6:00 PM) may require staying late if discharge criteria are not met</li><li>Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including patient and family education and transitions of care</li><li>Must be able to provide care in pre-op, PACU, and post-op settings</li><li>Return staff candidates must have at least one year away before returning as travelers</li><li>Only one holiday requested off (RTO) will be approved during the assignment</li><li>Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing ACA</li><li>Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility</li></ul>
 
 <h2>Requirements</h2>
 <ul><li>Active California RN license required</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience as an inpatient PACU RN or in an outpatient surgical setting</li><li>Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS</li><li>Experience caring for both adult and pediatric surgical patients</li></ul>

Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:
• Work 4x10 hour shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM 
• No on-call requirements and no weekend coverage 
• May be required to work closing shift (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM) and stay late if patients don't meet discharge criteria

• Minimum 2 years experience in ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) setting required 
• EPIC experience required 
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS 
• California RN licensure required 
• 7-year work history verification required 
• Must complete non-billable orientation modules (1-5 hours average)
