Constant floating to other units. I was on the COVID/medsurg unit which only had 10 beds. The director and manager were great though. They were always a call away and usually would give me the days I asked for. The hospital in itself is outdated.

      <p>American Traveler seeks an experienced ER RN for a night shift position with NC or compact licensure and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in the Emergency Room of a hospital setting</li><li>Night shift, 12-hour shifts</li><li>Patient population includes both adults and pediatric patients including those with COVID-19</li><li>Epic EMR experience is preferred</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency room patients with minimal supervision</li><li>Must follow all hospital policies and North Carolina Nursing Practice Act standards</li><li>Participation in holiday coverage may be required</li><li>Epic charting experience is preferred for this role</li></ul>

            RNs in Telemetry nursing jobs use high-tech equipment to monitor patient conditions and progress. Tele nurses typically take care of patients recently released from the ICU who are often at risk for developing complications; these nurses, therefore, must be able to take appropriate action when problems arise. Common conditions that require telemetry nurses include cardiac surgery, renal failure, COPD, sleep disorders, neurological problems, epilepsy, and cancer. Duties of telemetry nurses include careful review of the patient's vitals, maintenance of telemetry equipment, administration of medication, and communication with the patient and family. Because patients require round-the-clock monitoring, telemetry RNs often work long hours, night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Consequently, telemetry nurses are in high demand and their wages are above average.
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>1+ year of recent experience in this specialty and setting</li><li>Valid nursing license as required by this state</li><li>Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)</li><li>Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required</li><li>Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required</li><li>Professional References</li><li>Additional job specific requirements will be provided by your Recruiter</li></ul>
