VERY BUSY TRAUMA CENTER! it is not unusual to see 3-4 back to back traumas daily and at least 3 a day throughout the different shifts. Novant promotes education  and wants their staff educated. Providers listen to the nurses. Not a shift ever that you are bored or slow. As with every hospital system right now boarders can pile up but not excessive and they do a great job of moving people around quickly. Managers are supportive of staff and hands on

The units I’ve been on, the people have been great. You always have 1-2 people that aren’t the greatest to work with but everything can’t be perfect. I honestly think everything depends on the unit you’ll be on.

Perhaps it has improved, when I was there the staff was easily 50% travelers. ICU culture is awful in main ICU. Management is petty. Availability of CNAs is non existent. ICU 1:2-3, IMCU 1:4-5, unsure of MS. I would not go back unless the pay was phenomenal.
