Ratios fluctuate often and can be between 1:6 - 9. Ancillary support also fluctuates. Some days you can be tripping over PCAs and others there are none.

Zero flexibility with schedules, will be given by the management and you can swap if you find anyone. Exactly ectation of no breaks as a standard, if you decide to take one, ppl will definitely judge you and complain about your undone workload (your coworker cannot cover for your loss). Management will not support you at all, data driven w/expectation of perfection with zero support. Most of the ancillary staff is lazy, spends most of the time chatting and avoiding work.

Required Skills &amp; Experience: -Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. -Post Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. -Physical assessment. -Medication administration. -Wound care &amp; Infection control -IV therapy. -Post-operative care. -Patient education. -Telemetry monitoring. Job Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to: -Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. -Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. -Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. -Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. -Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements. -Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. -Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. -Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. -Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. -Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
