This was my first assignment and I would honestly go back. The unit was well-staffed, the nurses were helpful, and the scheduling was fair. They use EPIC which I was very familiar with.

My team was great. The work ethic was there and the staff workers were helpful and efficient. The team has great work ethic even though over half of staff is from agencies. 
Management put forth effort but seemingly in the wrong places. Most of the immediate management is gone now so interested to see how things progress. 
Equipment needs better maintenance. Portables should be able to drive without two hands. There is only one X-ray room in the ER which is a natural bottleneck especially when PAs order 2 view chests because they’re afraid of just “missing something.”
Peds ER orders about 3x what ACR recommendations are. 
Rad techs aren’t allowed to change orders to more appropriate orders. 
You’ll be busy for the majority of your shift which is cool but usually busy out if inefficiency. There’s no rhythm in the process of ER patient and a serious lack of communication amongst teams in the ER.
There is better pay elsewhere, no chance of OT.

The facility holds individuals that hate and resent travel staff. The facility also makes requests to force patients out of the facility violating Medicare choice laws. Don't risk your license they like throwing travelers under the bus.

House Supervisor

If you’re Black I would not recommend working here. I’ve experienced racism from the patients and staff and nothing was done about it. It’s just apart of the culture of the hospital.
