No nursing autonomy in the icu and the doctors treat the nurses like they are idiots, there’s no nursing autonomy. The nurses and multidisciplinary team are amazing and smart and a great team but the doctors/hospitalists do not create a safe work environment where nurses feel like they can speak up for their patients and patient safety is at risk because the doctors do not listen to what the nurses are telling them about the patients and yell at them and scream like adult children.
