Local perm staff are some the friendliest you will ever work with!
Cons
Administration does not train bedside staff to a shameful degree. Staff are left to fend for themselves, sometimes two nurses and no techs on units with 25 acute patients. They also run IVs and PICC lines right on their BH units- blood transfusions done by untrained, not signed off staff trying to figure it out on their phones. Assaults are frequent and severe. Typically 1:6 with goofld support from scheduled staff. Great group of nurses to work with.
Cons
Ratio 1:6 and heavy psych so average night can be heavy.

Nurse/pt ratio 1:6 Travel Nurse friendly Unit would be better with NURSE MANAGER as opposed to SW
Cons
Psych unit mgr is SW Scheduler is not flexible and does not consider Nurse’s personal life, plans, or situation . Plan to do chart audits and some SW jobs.
