Maxed to 5 with no techs on a PCU step-down with charge taking patients as well on nights. Days has 3 techs. Nights has NONE. Won’t float techs to help, slammed at the start of shift with admissions waiting, and nobody has time for a break because one nurse can’t watch 10 patients while anyone leaves for a break. That was my entire 13 week contract.

Great people but unsafe staffing on step-down

They will run on a pcu w 1 to no tech and the pcu is really just maybe 4 pcu pts and the rest MS overflow

No help with taking on 6 patients, heavy load of patients. Big retirement community.

1:6 on PCU floor with no Techs/NA's

Stepdown

The management is very inappropriate and not concerned for patient safety or workload. It is a very hostile environment, the management is disrespectful and hollers at staff. If there is a shortage due to a call out, management does not hustle to get help in, nor does management help. Very toxic environment amongst the respiratory department.
