Pros

The most amazing patients and providers! Majority of the staff is absolutely awesome! A small community that pulls together and is Texas Strong! The night sky is so beautiful and if you like hiking Big Bend National Park is right here. This is a critical access hospital and resources are somewhat limited. Flexibility is optimal.

Cons

Housing is hard to find but it is West Texas.

Pros

Unit Director is nice however she does not have any labor and delivery experience.

Cons

Charting system and fetal monitoring system are antiquated. Processes are not safe or not in place at all. Not always staffed with two OB nurses and your backup may be the unit Director, who has no OB experience.
