<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Dec 14, 2026</li><li>Length: 15 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a CA license for a 15-week day shift contract requiring at least 2 years of ER experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department in a hospital setting</li><li>Non-trauma ED with STEMI and Stroke certified facility status</li><li>Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-7:30)</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:4</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>Epic EMR experience required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active California RN license required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required</li><li>Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS</li><li>Preferred certifications: NIHSS, OCN, TNCC</li><li>Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias</li><li>Experience with arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration</li><li>Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs and phlebotomy</li><li>Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration</li><li>Knowledge of CVA, ICP monitoring, and neuro-trauma care including spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries</li><li>Experience managing ortho-trauma, head injuries, near drowning, and traumatic amputations</li><li>Skilled in CPAP/BiPAP management and interpretation of ABGs</li><li>Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage</li><li>Level I and II Trauma Center experience preferred</li><li>Teaching hospital experience preferred</li><li>Prior travel nursing experience required</li><li>References required for consideration</li><li>Copies of required certifications must be submitted for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population</li><li>Manage a range of high-acuity cases including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and trauma-related emergencies</li><li>Must pass an onsite advanced EKG exam (80% or higher) prior to starting, with only one attempt allowed onsite</li><li>Complete required clinical and non-clinical training modules prior to start, varying by specialty</li><li>No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 3 RTO days for the remainder of the contract</li><li>Must be willing to work holidays</li><li>All time off requests must be submitted with the initial application and cannot be changed except to cancel</li><li>Local candidates accepted at the same rate</li><li>Previous employees may be considered on a case-by-case basis</li></ul>
