Worked in the ICU as an RN. Everyone works as a team and are helpful. The hospital is cutting to try to be profitable, but all travelers say this ICU is easy (more like a step down). You will routinely have floor patients mixed with ICU/step down patients. Maybe not even any ICU/stepdown patients. Travelers get floated to the floor where they have 6+ patients with far-stretched techs. The floor nurses routinely showed up tired and stressed when they had to grab something from our supply closet. Don’t miss getting floated to the floor but miss the Covid pay. I was staff btw.
