The department is in an ideal location to care for outpatients. There are 2 banks of elevators that allow for quick dispatch of inpatients. Experienced long-term staff answered questions quick. Protocols were clear. There is a dedicated nuclear medicine radiologist who was open, available and cordial. I would take another contract there in a heartbeat!

      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and advanced certifications.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital</li><li>Care for a diverse population of laboring mothers and newborns</li><li>Night shifts available (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)</li><li>Floating required within hospital units and to affiliated mother baby and nearby hospitals</li><li>Epic EMR is used for charting and documentation</li><li>Weekend coverage required based on contract length</li><li>Must be flexible to work weekends according to unit needs</li><li>Expected to float between all facilities within the state as necessary</li><li>Returning staff are eligible after a 3-month break from previous employment at the facility</li><li>Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)</li><li>Scrub color is flexible; any color is acceptable</li><li>Free parking is provided</li><li>Completion of non-billable online modules is required prior to start and annually thereafter</li><li>References: Two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years are required for consideration</li><li>All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; post-submittal time-off requests may not be accommodated</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active CA RN license must be in hand at time of consideration</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required</li><li>Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and AWHONN Advanced</li><li>Precepting skills preferred</li><li>Epic charting experience required</li><li>First-time travelers accepted</li><li>Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility for travel assignment eligibility</li><li>Pending licenses are not accepted</li></ul>
