When I started here a few years ago, nursing assistance and sitters were almost always available, respiratory did EKGs and things were spread out as far as responsibilities. In a few years more and more has shifted into the responsibility of the nurse with even less support available. That said, most nurses here are helpful and a good team makes the shifts bearable. It is better than a couple of the other places I have traveled to or worked at. We will see how this feels after the Henry Ford merger.
