Wonderful hospital, wonderful staff nurses.  Terrible management issues in the Case Management Dept.  The Director either resigned or was terminated while I was there.  The Manager assumed leadership of the department.  A very nice lady, but she didn’t even have a Nursing license.  I did not feel supported when I went to her with problems- usually related to physician related delays in care for patients.  Their UM Physician had to be brought in on MANY cases, due to physician mismanagement in the Inpatient setting.  This made the job more stressful than it needed to be.

I also was called off due to low census 6 or 8 times during the assignment.  My company then did not want to pay for the provided housing for the missed shifts.  It was a big hassle completing extra paperwork to prove I did not miss work due to illness, etc.  All of the lost wages really added up & there was no stipulation in the contract to guarantee or secure a minimum number of hours.

Case Management

The radiology department staff and management are all awesome. Working CT in the ER is super busy. Had a couple nights where I scanned over 50 patients. That being said the nurses and other ER staff are willing to help.

Pay is bad per diem. When you get an offer they tell you that you will get more and then they pay you less than what they mention. HR is so difficult to get a hold of and unprofessional always have a attitude and disregards any questions
