<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 48 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Apr 28, 2026</li><li>Length: 26 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Long Term Care (LTC) position in Seward, Alaska, requiring prior travel nursing experience and an active Alaska RN license in hand.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Long Term Care (LTC) facility with 40 staffed beds</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:20</li><li>Shift options of 4x12 or 3x12 hours at traveler's choice, available on days (7:00–19:30) or nights (19:00–7:30) — shift assignment based on facility needs at time of start</li><li>Nurses are not routinely asked to rotate between day and night shifts, though occasional exceptions may occur for urgent staffing needs</li><li>Floating required between facilities within the state to meet staffing needs; refusal to float may result in assignment termination</li><li>Contract length is traveler's choice: 13 or 26 weeks</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Charting system: ECS</li><li>Block scheduling is not available</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active Alaska (AK) RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted</li><li>Current BLS certification required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of LTC nursing experience required</li><li>Previous travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered</li><li>At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting</li><li>SSN and DOB required for consideration</li><li>Valid driver's license and proof of personal vehicle insurance (including rental car coverage) required to operate the facility-provided vehicle</li><li>Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>All travelers are required to obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification, which is completed during on-site orientation — there is a one-time $10 fee for this certification</li><li>Any color scrubs are acceptable</li><li>Free parking is available on site</li><li>The facility arranges a vehicle for traveler use during the assignment for local transportation within a 30-mile radius of the facility only — off-road use is not permitted</li><li>Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility</li><li>For a 26-week contract, no more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered; travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)</li><li>All RTO requests must be submitted prior to or at the time of consideration — RTO will not be approved after an offer is made or after signing a contract</li></ul>
