<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 28, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 2</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an RN with combined OR Circulator, Pre-Op, and PACU experience for a surgical services role requiring rotational call coverage.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Facility with 3 OR suites, 3 PACU/Pre-Op bays, and 1 anesthesia provider</li><li>Surgical case types include general, OB/GYN, ophthalmology (cataract), and occasional orthopedic procedures</li><li>Day shift hours 6:30am-2:30pm Monday through Friday, with occasional late days to complete surgical caseloads</li><li>Rotational call coverage averaging 1-2 days per week plus every other or every third weekend depending on staffing</li><li>Holiday coverage required as part of rotational schedule</li><li>Must be able to function across all three specialty areas: Pre-Op, OR Circulator, and PACU</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CO or compact RN license required</li><li>Minimum 6 years of nursing experience required, with 3 years of combined Pre-Op/OR/PACU experience preferred</li><li>ACLS certification required</li><li>CNOR certification preferred</li><li>Scrub experience preferred</li><li>Must be comfortable with long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting</li><li>Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials expected</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, circulating cases, patient recovery, and preparing patients for surgery</li><li>Assists with processing surgical instruments and equipment in central sterilizing</li><li>Provides patient education and emotional support throughout the surgical process</li><li>Adheres to infection control standards and follows national guidelines from IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN</li><li>Reports to the Surgical Services Manager or designee</li><li>Requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain effective in high-stress situations</li></ul>
