Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure as a RN in NC. Current BCLS certification required. Minimum three years' nursing experience. Performs and/or coordinates a variety of patient care duties under appropriate clinical supervision. Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine practice and procedures. Ability to recognize medical needs of patients and their families; ability to educate patients and family members; ability to explain to patient and families prescribed medications. The degree of supervision required for the performance of any delegated activity by the licensed practical nurse when implementing nursing care is determined by variables which include, but are not limited to: a. Graduate of approved school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred, Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing required. Current licensure as Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Current BCLS required; specialty certification preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required. Additional languages preferred.
