It’s right smack dab in the middle of an expensive city. After one contract they went down on my pay 2k a month. Outside of the pay working there was great but you get floated a lot. Overall I did enjoy working there (for a year) but the pay and floating were my only complaints

It had its moments

It was a good place to work. Lots of support. Diversity in cases in the OR. My main issue however was that it felt like the staff working there didn’t seem to realize how good they had it. They were miserable/unhappy about so many things and it didn’t make sense to those who have been to worse places. Majority of the staff has only worked at UCLA so they don’t have a different perspective. It did seem like the staff did have some issues with management. It was also very clique-y and some immature folks liked to bully others. As long as you know how to stand up for yourself and brush it off you will be fine. It was alright for me and I’ve had worse experiences so I wouldn’t have minded staying if the rate hadn’t dropped drastically.
