OR-department a little disorganized. Shifts/call as stated, but didn't get paid for call/call back until 12th of 13 weeks. Some issues with staff attitude towards travelers

One thing that sticks out about my experience at Saint Alphonsus is the attitude of management. They definitely do not make you feel like there is an open door policy, and they give off the feeling that it’s them (management) against you (floor employees).

Micro managed everything like how I should smile.

Work environment was abysmal. Ratios were unsafe with high acuity patients, 1:6 ratio. Lack of ancillary help available during night shift.

Medical Technologist

Total mean girl culture. The facility is decent though some practices are out of date (e.g. thinking temporal temps on ICU patients is accurate and acceptable practice). The compensation was good but beware the manager does NOT like travelers and will make your experience uncomfortable if not miserable. Her attitude has rubbed off on many of the charge nurses as well. I’ve heard this from several other travelers as well who switched to the sister facility in Nampa (which was an excellent facility to work at) and reported no problems at the Nampa hospital.
