Was on a med tele unit here and there was no charge nurse; no seriously. There wasn’t a charge nurse with patients, there was just no charge nurse at all. They use glucommander. Six patients on night shift. 1:16 ratio for the CNA. Very poor management that doesn’t care.

Charge nurse runs the entire OR. Management is afraid of the charge nurse. Mean girls club. Culture is telling on every tiny thing that was missed. Chart audit every case. 4 charge nurses for 5 ORs. Just to audit nurses. Micromanaging at its best. Oh they hate travelers too.

Job Details:
• Work Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM 
• Weekend requirement mandatory

• Work with 2 CT scanners (Toshiba and GE equipment) 
• Perform general CT studies for outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department 
• Handle stroke codes and emergency CT procedures 
• Use EPIC EMR system and McKesson PACS system 
• Dress code: Black pants and solid colored scrub tops 
• Hospital cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

 American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a weekend acute care assignment.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work in an acute care setting within the CT department</li><li>Serve outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department populations</li><li>Department utilizes 2 CT scanners (Toshiba and GE) for general CT studies, including stroke codes</li><li>Weekend shifts are Friday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, with occasional call and holiday coverage</li><li>Uses Epic EMR and McKesson PACS for imaging and charting</li><li>Start IVs as part of CT procedures</li><li>Department-specific orientation is approximately 1-2 weeks and includes equipment training</li><li>Occasional call required with a 45-minute response time</li><li>Primary duties include performing general CT imaging studies and supporting stroke code protocols</li><li>Start IVs as needed for CT procedures</li><li>Black pants and solid-colored scrub tops are required</li><li>Holiday coverage and occasional on-call shifts are expected</li><li>Department leadership and support provided during assignment</li><li>First-time travelers will be considered</li><li>Returning employees must not have worked for CommonSpirit or associated facilities (including CHI and Dignity) within the past year except as PRN through outside firms</li></ul>
