<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Apr 6, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 2</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a critical access hospital setting requiring scrub proficiency across multiple surgical specialties and a MO or compact RN license.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Small critical access hospital OR setting</li><li>Handles approximately 100 cases per month, including C-sections (1–2/month); low acuity overall</li><li>Surgical specialties include endoscopic, general surgery, gynecology (including C-sections), orthopedic (arthroscopic), podiatry, urology, pediatric ENT, pediatric endoscopic (EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy), and pediatric general surgery (appendectomy)</li><li>Candidate must be proficient in scrub role across all required specialties</li><li>Floating required across OR, PACU, and Pre/Post-Op — candidate will not be stationed in the same area at all times</li><li>Primary schedule is 5x8s, 7:00–15:30, with potential flex to 4x10s depending on OR schedule</li><li>Weekend coverage required approximately once every 3 weeks (Friday–Sunday)</li><li>Call required approximately 10 shifts per month (assigned in pairs of 2), with a minimum callback window of 1 hour</li><li>EMR: Meditech</li><li>13-week contract</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active MO or compact RN license currently in hand</li><li>Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS</li><li>CNOR certification preferred</li><li>Minimum 3 years of RN experience required — no exceptions</li><li>Experience required in all of the following areas: OR, circulating, PACU, and Pre/Post-Op</li><li>Proficiency in scrub role for endoscopic, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedic, podiatry, and urology procedures required</li><li>Pediatric surgical experience required: ENT (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy), endoscopic (EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy), and general surgery (appendectomy)</li><li>Experience with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, latex allergy management, and malignant hyperthermia required</li><li>Equipment experience required: electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Steris</li><li>Clinical skills required: administration of blood/blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, specimen handling/labeling, peripheral IV insertion, Universal Protocol (time-out), urinary bladder catheterization, and wound management</li><li>ENT experience (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy) preferred</li><li>Two professional references required for consideration</li><li>PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Scrub role is required for this position — candidates must be ready to scrub immediately upon starting</li><li>Unit scrub color is blue</li><li>Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate; no radius restriction applies</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Facility housing is available</li></ul>
