<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: May 1, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience with cardiac and telemetry skills.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Critical access hospital setting with 15 beds serving a birth-to-geriatric patient population</li><li>Emergency Department with float responsibility to Med/Surg as needed</li><li>Patient population includes COPD, diabetes, CHF, cardiac, and trauma cases</li><li>Patient ratio of 2:1</li><li>12-hour night shifts</li><li>Telemetry equipment used</li><li>Cardiac and diabetic drips administered by nursing staff</li><li>No in-house pharmacy — RNs are required to mix their own medications</li><li>EMR: Cerner</li><li>No on-call requirements</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand</li><li>Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC</li><li>Minimum 2 years of inpatient RN experience required</li><li>ED or relevant acute care experience required</li><li>Experience with cardiac and diabetic drips required</li><li>Cerner EMR experience preferred</li><li>Two supervisory/managerial references preferred for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Manager interview required prior to offer</li><li>Position requires floating to Med/Surg in addition to primary ED assignment</li><li>RNs are responsible for medication preparation due to the absence of an in-house pharmacy</li></ul>
