<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jun 23, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist proficient in both mammography and DEXA scanning for a 13-week travel assignment in an outpatient imaging setting.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Outpatient mammography unit with a Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography System and Hologic Horizon DXA System</li><li>Proficiency in both mammography and DEXA scanning is required, including routine and diagnostic breast imaging</li><li>Routine breast imaging is scheduled every 30 minutes, diagnostic breast imaging every 40 minutes, and DEXA scans every 20 minutes</li><li>Works alongside 1 scheduler and 1 other technologist</li><li>12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required</li><li>Proficiency in both diagnostic and routine breast imaging, as well as bone densitometry (DEXA)</li><li>Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)</li><li>Current applicable state license required if applicable</li><li>Valid driver's license required for consideration</li><li>Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Responsibilities include positioning patients for mammographic studies, adjusting compression mechanisms, minimizing radiation exposure, and forwarding completed studies to the radiologist for interpretation</li><li>Also responsible for performing bone densitometry scans under physician supervision</li><li>Duties include equipment maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining mammography supplies and patient records</li><li>Two professional references required for consideration</li><li>Skills checklist required for consideration</li><li>Local candidates are accepted; a radius rule applies and may affect the travel pay rate — the mileage threshold varies</li></ul>
