Turnover is high.  This facility treats people like trash and expects them to just take it.  People are leaving consistently due to being short staffed all the time which is, again, caused by the mistreatment of employees.  It's a revolving cycle.

Lack of trust between staff and management because reality is never what they promote. Staff ratios are 1:6, ALWAYS, no matter the state of patients. SO much faulty equipment/missing equipment-constantly having to run to other floors for items. 
The only good place about this hospital is the staff. Everyone is super friendly as they all try to navigate the chaos.

Interventional Radiology

Very unsafe. Admissions from the ED without report or any notification that they have been transported to the room on the unit, sometimes with critical labs. I was scared I would lose my license throughout my assignment at this hospital with no support from mgmt. The hospital also lied about the nurse to patient ratios, telling the recruiter it was 4:1, sometimes 5:1, when really it was 6:1 all the time, where the charge also had 6 patients as well, making them useless for support. To top it off, the pay was horrible & I never got a break, working upwards to 14 hours most shifts due to not being able to chart because I would be so insanely busy caring for CIWA patients with a 6:1 ratio. I nearly quit bedside after completing this contract. I took 3 months off to recover. My advice to my fellow RNs, I would avoid HCA hospitals at all costs if you value your license.
