      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience for a contract position working with orthopedic and neurological patients.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting with some coverage in swing bed cases</li><li>Caseload includes 8 to 10 patients per day with one therapist per day</li><li>Patient population includes orthopedic (total joints), neurological (strokes), occasional brain injuries, medical, and general ICU cases</li><li>Position may float to another local facility when census is low</li><li>Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts (4x10) or five 8-hour shifts (5x8), Monday through Friday</li><li>Epic EMR is used and experience with Epic is preferred</li><li>Holiday coverage may be required</li><li>Responsible for evaluation, treatment planning, and delivering OT services to acute and swing bed patients</li><li>A manager is present on each shift; no COTAs or rehab aides are staffed</li><li>2-3 days of department-specific orientation provided; onboarding schedule may require Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts</li><li>Scrubs permitted but must not match colors of other departments; color list available upon hire</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Permanent employees must be separated for at least one year before applying as a traveler</li><li>No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility; permanent address will be verified for eligibility</li><li>No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Current, active OT license required if applicable</li><li>Minimum 1 year of licensed OT experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting</li><li>Current BLS certification required</li><li>Epic EMR experience preferred</li><li>Driver’s license required</li><li>Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from the past 12 months, one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire</li></ul>
