This is a fast-paced adult acute care environment caring for critically ill patients requiring advanced respiratory support and emergency intervention.  Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience</li><li>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred</li><li>Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted if Registry Eligible with strong acute care experience</li><li>Active Respiratory Therapy license</li><li>BLS certification required</li><li>Experience working in adult acute care and critical care settings</li><li>Must be comfortable responding to emergencies and participating in code situations</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Assess patients and verify physician orders for respiratory treatments</li><li>Administer respiratory therapies, medications, and medical gases</li><li>Monitor patient response and document assessments and treatments accurately</li><li>Operate and manage ventilators, non-invasive ventilation devices, and respiratory equipment</li><li>Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams</li><li>Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and therapies</li><li>Maintain equipment, supplies, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards</li></ul>Equipment Experience Preferred:<ul><li>PB 980 Ventilator</li><li>PB 840 Ventilator</li><li>V60 Non-Invasive Ventilator</li><li>Epoc Handheld Blood Gas Analyzer</li><li>ParaPac Plus Transport Ventilator</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>Adult patient population only</li><li>Level I Trauma Center experience preferred</li><li>Maximum 5 days RTO accepted</li><li>Strong critical care and ventilator management skills highly desired</li></ul>Apply today to join a highly respected trauma and acute care team in Akron, Ohio
