Somewhat behind the times.  Stuck in a time warp lol.  The staff was somewhat catty and backstabbing in my opinion as a traveler from the outside looking in.  Shared governance was not in the program and assigned charge nurses most of them micro- managed to the point of impeding care and annoyance.

      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit</li><li>Care for laboring mothers, delivered mothers, and newborns</li><li>Night shift with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am</li><li>Epic charting experience preferred</li><li>Position is a 13-week contract assignment</li><li>Must be comfortable caring for both mothers and newborns</li><li>Responsibilities include caring for mothers throughout labor and immediate postpartum, as well as caring for newborns</li><li>Must be able to effectively manage both maternal and neonatal care</li><li>Required to complete orientation modules online, with duration based on specialty</li><li>Return staff must have been gone for at least one year to be eligible</li><li>Only one holiday time-off will be approved during assignment</li><li>Locals are accepted at a different pay rate</li><li>Information about background history should be disclosed prior to consideration</li></ul>

      <ul><li>Active CA RN license required</li><li>Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (provider) certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)</li><li>Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required</li><li>Must provide two professional references obtained within the last year</li><li>Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing</li><li>Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate</li></ul>
