      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Antepartum position with night shifts and advanced maternal care requirements.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Provide care in a high-risk Antepartum hospital unit</li><li>Patient population includes 6 to 41 week antepartum mothers with conditions such as PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, and substance use disorder in pregnancy</li><li>Care for patients experiencing fetal demise or loss, and for postpartum mothers whose infants are in the NICU; no newborns are on this unit</li><li>Unit involves support of bedside amnio or sterile spec exams, use of PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, syringe pumps, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate</li><li>Assist with sterile speculum exams and IV therapy including maintaining central lines</li><li>Float required to Postpartum unit</li><li>Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–7:30)</li><li>Epic EMR used; prior experience required</li><li>Main responsibilities include caring for high-risk antepartum and select postpartum patients, supporting bedside procedures, and managing complex medication regimens</li><li>Required to float between all local facilities as needed</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Scrubs of any color acceptable; facility-provided scrubs required when floated to L&amp;D units</li><li>Minimal to no RTO will be accommodated; submit all time off requests at application</li><li>All required online training modules must be completed before starting the assignment and annually thereafter</li><li>Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for the travel contract unless otherwise specified</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active WA RN or Compact State license required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of recent antepartum nursing experience required; C-section experience preferred</li><li>AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred</li><li>Experience with high-risk maternal cases and relevant medications such as anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate necessary</li><li>Ability to maintain and manage central lines (CVC/PICC)</li><li>Must provide two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years in a comparable specialty</li><li>SSN, DOB, and valid driver’s license required for compliance</li><li>Previous permanent staff at Swedish facilities must have at least 3 months of separation before eligible to return as a traveler</li></ul>
