<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 4x10hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jun 8, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract at an acute care facility in Truckee, CA, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Acute care hospital setting at a Level III Trauma Center</li><li>Nuclear Medicine unit operating primarily in an outpatient capacity (~90% outpatient, ~10% inpatient)</li><li>Typical caseload of 2–5 patients per day</li><li>Procedures include myocardial perfusion studies, gallbladder function studies, bone scans, and radioisotope injections</li><li>Patients may remain under the detector for 30 minutes to 1 hour; cardiac stress testing involves sending patients to echo and back to Nuclear Medicine</li><li>Currently operating within a mobile unit while permanent equipment is being replaced</li><li>Primary equipment includes a Siemens e.CAM; PET/CT experience is a plus</li><li>Preferred experience with MIM, iMed Scheduling, Keane Radiology System, Philips iSite Enterprise PACS, or similar systems</li><li>EMR: Epic</li><li>Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4x10-hour day shifts with a typical arrival time of 6:00–6:30 AM</li><li>No call, no nights, and no weekends required</li><li>13-week contract with a strong likelihood of extension</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience</li><li>Current BLS certification (AHA)</li><li>ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required — either satisfies the credentialing requirement</li><li>California state certification per AB 2720 required to perform PET/CT</li><li>License required if applicable</li><li>Epic EMR experience preferred</li><li>Proficiency with nuclear medicine imaging equipment and procedures, including myocardial perfusion studies</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Perform radioisotope injections, gamma camera imaging, myocardial perfusion stress testing, gallbladder function studies, and bone scan imaging</li><li>PET/CT experience is highly preferred but not required</li><li>Experience with MIM software, iMed Scheduling, Keane Radiology, or Philips iSite PACS is a plus</li><li>BSN is not required for this position</li></ul>
